Women in Construction

Why Pink Print is Advocating For Females

At Pink Print, we’re committed to challenging outdated stereotypes and opening doors for more women to thrive in construction.

Right now, women make up just 15% of the UK construction workforce, and only around 2% work in skilled trades.

That’s not because women lack the talent or drive—it’s because the industry hasn’t always been built with them in mind. We’re changing that.

Our workshops introduce girls and young women to the full range of construction careers—from design and engineering to hands-on site work—through relatable, engaging, and confidence-building experiences.

We use female role models, interactive sessions, and practical challenges to help young women see what’s possible.

We work with all genders because inclusion works both ways.

To truly change the culture, we need everyone on board. That’s why our workshops are open to all genders and designed to promote respect, collaboration, and understanding.
We believe in creating safer, more inclusive environments where everyone’s strengths are valued, and differences are supported—not challenged.

Whether it’s giving young women the confidence to lead or helping young men become better allies, we’re creating future workplaces that feel safer, more welcoming, and genuinely equal.

Why it matters:

  • Only 1 in 10 construction managers are women.
  • Women are twice as likely to leave the industry within 5 years.
  • A diverse workforce leads to better innovation, stronger teams, and a more sustainable future.

What we offer:

  • Female-led workshops and guest speakers
  • Positive male engagement to promote allyship
  • Activities designed to boost confidence and career awareness
  • Safe spaces for open discussion, learning, and discovery
